Just had to ask one thing: to call myself "a student, a writer, an antiquarian employee and possibly future fish farmer" how does that sounds? How does it sound on a web dating sites?
It sounds great for Dreamwidth, but I'm not super knowledgeable about dating sites. What specifically do you mean by "antiquarian employee" and "future fish farmer"?
I don’t know how those things works either. Mostly I feel like I shouldn’t even try, but sometime one still try.
I have applied to a course for fish and shellfish farming. I don’t know if I will go even if I’m accepted to it. But you know I need a new knowledge, a new “career”.
I think it sounds fine, but I honestly have no idea.
I'm trying to think if I know any couples who met on dating sites. My friend met her last boyfriend on OK Cupid, but he was awful and they're not together anymore. Two couples I know who recently got married met at a) a karaoke bar, and b) Toastmasters (public speaking club). Another couple I know who have been married for a long time met at a Harry Potter convention. And then a lot of people meet at work, which is not super romantic, but it happens.
So it seems to me that people have better luck when they meet through friends or common interests/activities.
I know you speak several languages... If you are interested in joining a group to practice speaking the language, that might be a good place to meet people. People are going to be more easygoing in casual social situations (as opposed to scheduled dates) because there isn't as much pressure.
Good advice, I believe your right. However. sorry I have given the impression I know several language. I'm not even sure I’m particularly good at English.
In 1995 I had a pretty basic website with a quotation search feature and I got a TON of traffic. Lots of email. I mean the internet was a different place. but today? yeah just a few family and a the occasional friend on my website. It's funny because there are way more peoples on the internet, but they are all on facebook and twitter and a few other big sites.
Internet was a different place. Yeah. I'm not complaining about the kids taste in music, but what they have done with the internet. It was better in my day. Haha
