Just had to ask one thing: to call myself "a student, a writer, an antiquarian employee and possibly future fish farmer" how does that sounds? How does it sound on a web dating sites?
I think it sounds fine, but I honestly have no idea.
I'm trying to think if I know any couples who met on dating sites. My friend met her last boyfriend on OK Cupid, but he was awful and they're not together anymore. Two couples I know who recently got married met at a) a karaoke bar, and b) Toastmasters (public speaking club). Another couple I know who have been married for a long time met at a Harry Potter convention. And then a lot of people meet at work, which is not super romantic, but it happens.
So it seems to me that people have better luck when they meet through friends or common interests/activities.
I know you speak several languages... If you are interested in joining a group to practice speaking the language, that might be a good place to meet people. People are going to be more easygoing in casual social situations (as opposed to scheduled dates) because there isn't as much pressure.
Good advice, I believe your right. However. sorry I have given the impression I know several language. I'm not even sure I’m particularly good at English.
