California Poppy on such a winter's day
The reason I tried to grow Eschscholzia californica hydroponically - with the Kratky method https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kratky_method - was partly because it was fun, but much more because they say that tea from the plant can help you with sleeping. I was hoping it should be the zopiklon flower. Or slightly more seriously, the fact the English name is California poppy could have a suggestive effect. The flower isn’t related to poppy, but maybe your brain just hears the word “poppy” and will think the tea has opiates in it. Anyway, forgett the last drivel, here's the result. (I haven't tried the tea yet.)

The other flowers, down in the corner, are from a mini eggplant that's growing in another Kraky system.

Then the number of infections in covid is apparently going down in this county (county not country). At least my dad said so over the telephone. It’s so easy to think: “Wow, and that’s in the middle of the winter and with no lockdown and no mask laws. Own responsibility, holistic view on public health and sustainable recommendations works.” But I know, it’s cherry picking and you might comment with your own cherry picking. Plus, it’s not over until it’s over. Ask the Czechs.
