Some weeks ago I was at a small concert. 200 people indoors. Crazy. Such a long time since we could do that. Anyway what I was going to mention was that I met someone I haven’t met in a long time and that made me remember that I have a rain check. The person I mentioned had invited me to a party that had been canceled because they had gotten sick during their travels in Africa before. Wonder if it was any of those African parasitic infections that’s treated with Ivermectin?

One thing I have been wrong about with this pandemic seems to be that I thought it would cause a spike in mental health problems. In September the public health agency presented a study showing that mental health problems hadn’t increased. It’s even so that Sweden like most countries has less suicides than “normally”. So not all people are like me. Getting affected badly when things go bad in the world.

Now I know that the Lancet, this month, published a study claiming that the pandemic had caused mental health problems in most countries, including Sweden. Still, despite that and despite my own first thought, the thing is that the Lancet thing is a model and our public health agency looks at reality. So what to do with the model? “Yeah the hospital doesn't see any increase in mental health patients and suicides are down. But a model in the Lancet claims we have an increase. Let's start randomly prescribe 25% more anti-depressants. Also I have a patient with perfect vision, but a model from the Lancet says he’s going blind from river blindness. I will treat him with Ivermectin.”
