I was impressed by the view from the fifth floor in the building I work in.

Some decades ago all this was forest and I know it's not a good photo.

Right now I have an temporary job in a Biotech incubator. The woman I work with has the title laboratory and community manager, so that is my title too, I think. Now in my case it may more or less be other words for janitor. I do not know. Anyway that is my excuse for in my last entry writing "pre-review" instead of "peer-review", I am just a janitor.

Things I have done includes fixing up laboratories and inventory , including inventory of Eppendorf pipettes "Made in Germany". You know, if it hasn't changed everyone working in a wet lab must pose with a pipette every time a journalist visit to take photos. At least one saw a lot of photos like that. “This is my pipette, there are many like it, but this one is mine ...” When I cleaned and disinfected an incubator I late noted I had cut myself on a sharp edge of a metal shelf. Telling that story to Robert he said it sounded like the beginning of a movie. If a culture of “human cells” get contaminated with my blood, something nasty (like zombie-virus) will happen, and then it’s my fault. Btw, to anyone still reading my sillines, yes, the incubator should be used for “human cells”, that must mean HeLa-cells, right? And I’m going to assume some of you have read The immortal life of Henrietta Lacks.

When checking the Biotech incubator online, I saw that the CEO has a page about her on wikipedia. Just like my oldest BiL. Her’s page is longer than his, so the joke is that, that’s proves her career is going better than his. That must be how things work. I can also write that one man there had been in South Korea in December, and had come back with the flu, or was it flu-like-symptoms, that he spread around. In other words, I won’t bet money on it, but we secretly all hope we already have been exposed to the new coronavirus and already has those antibodies. That was that, all to add is that I hope the job will be more permanent.
