Perhaps I should write about nothing but popculture. When I was in high school the club for exchange students was named Frukostklubben, that’s Swedish for The breakfast club. I don’t think I got the reference back when, even if I had seen the movie, twice (I'm also quite sure I never have seen Pretty in pink nor Sixteen candles, just The breakfast club). Now I just try to imagine how it was for the pupil in a smal, provincial northern town three decades ago when they decided to name the club.

Pretty in Pink and Sixteen Candles were really popular movies of my teenage years. Supposedly they were very romantic. But these days we are all kind of horrified at how much sexual assault they present as funny, and disturbed that we thought it was normal. :/

However I don’t remember The Breakfast Club being like that, though I won’t swear to it.
