I guess this is about how much language changes. Watching this video: Japanese Plans to Ally with African Americans. I’m not going to comment on the main issue but a detail. In the video Manchu princess Kawashima “ Eastern Jewel'” Yoshiko (1907-1948) is called “she” but also described as transgender. That was new to me. A princess - biological female - who’s describe with the pronouns “she/her” is postumt transgender. Then did that happen? Why? Because Kawashima was in the military? Why use the word "she" of they are so sure she was transgender.
Then it seems like it has become politicized. And perhaps it’s like Professor Francois “militant covid centrist" Balloux said that when medical science get politicized science loses. That’s all I have to say. I know this is personal for one of you. It makes me less likely to write about the subject. In other words, I would have posted this anyway. It is not a comment on anyones personal life.
