So Chris Cornell is dead. It wasn’t that long ago I played a song from his first solo album. Meaning it was less than 12 months since I listen to the song with the lyric “she’s going to change the world, but can’t change me”. One thing about being over 30 is that music doesn’t have the same power over oneself. At least it’s like that for me. Anyway, I really liked his solo album when it come out. And of course I know the lyric to Black hole sun, okay,, not the whole song, but some lyric.

I was sad to learn this as soon as I woke up this morning. I liked Soundgarden but Audioslave is one of my favorite all time bands. I regularly listen to their albums on repeat while I'm working, they never get old.

I agree with you that music sorta loses it's magic as you get older. It's a bit disappointing to say the least. Also, we're at that age when all of our favorite musicians are starting to die and that's so depressing.

I'm not too crazy about Audioslave or Soundgarden, but Chris Cornell had a really great voice. Like a stone was my favorite song of his.
