Yesterday we had a lecture with one woman who came from the game designer world in Stockholm before she and a man from the same background moved north and more importantly now work with agritech, designing the software and hardware for surveillance and control of all parameters relevant for things like greenhouses and fish farming. Cool story, from gaming to real world food production. Well, I can’t help but notice that the fourth edition of the book Recirculating Aquaculture from 2018 still writes about testing water parameters with old style laboratory work. Like we did in high school and the university, mostly titration. This lecture talked about data servers, sensores, even A.I. What if I want to work in lab coat and wear safety goggles [wonder if anyone saw that I first wrote "google", not "goggles"?].

Ok, the other industry thing I want to mention is that I still found it cool, or nerdy, that our minister possed with “Fe” and “Li” written on her nails, because of the new found ore deposit in the north. Cool! Or is the word "Nerdy"?! Just some words about that woman )

Yeah the ore finding is already compared to when Norway found oil. It is the second time in some weeks I have seen an industry here compared to Norwegian industry. The first time was a company in the recirculating aquaculture business hoping they would be as big as the Norwegian salmon farming business. (My thought is you can never bet or compete with Norway in anything, except hockey and the eurovision song contest.)
