Random thought, fwiw
In 1700 the Swedish army had one of many spectacular victories against the Russians. However the much larger country Russia ended that war by crushing the Swedish army in 1709 and more or less ending the so-called Swedish empire.
The same pattern could be seen in the American civil war. The smaller Confederation started the war with some spectacular victories, but a handful of years later, they still lost.
In 2022 Ukraine won a series of spectacular victories against the Russians ... Yeah, I don’t know the future, it’s just that one can’t be sure the Ukraine victories are enough..
Speaking of Sweden - and I personaly think we have pasted zenit. Compared to war the misinformation online is trivial. But a trivial question, since covid and immigrations are the two things people on social media love to hate Sweden about: What is more crazy? 1. That the new Swedish government will deport 300000 people with permanent residence permits. 2. That Swedish doctors use morphine to murder covid-19 patients. Those are two things you can "learn" from social media. The bad news about the second is that even “the establishment” shares those things.
(I’m not writing this to change anyone's opinion about anything and I shouldn’t care what anyone thinks. But it’s true that Sweden has had an extremely high non-European immigration while it’s also true that Sweden had one of the lowest excess mortality rates in Europe since the start of the pandemic. It's easy to say one side is more correct than the other ...)
