Okay, in 2014 Singapore had an anti-gambling ad about a dad who had bet his kids money on Germany winning the world cup in football, right? Then Germany won, making the message of the ad being, “gambling makes you rich”. Now in the olympic the German ice hockey team has not just won against Switzerland and Sweden but against Canada. Betting on Germany in football is not that stupid. But betting on Germany in hockey, isn’t that like textbook gambling problem? Someone (with or without a gambling problem) must have bet on the German ice hockey team and made a lot of money.

February 23 - What is your first political memory?

 I remember mom packning a food package that was going to be sent to Poland. As I rembered it I thought that when I grow up I would send food packages to the needy too. Later I have understod it must have been somewhere after december 1981 when martial law was declared in Poland. And they had tanks on the streets. Meening it was some time after my third birthday.
